Knightly Order

The Knightly Orders of the Jodek Empire were a number of groups that were granted a specific honor by the emperor. Any order that gained such a favor had considerable power and authority within the empire, and typically used this power for the protection of the people, though there were some exceptions.

While the name "knightly order" suggests images of shining armor and horseback, many orders had other fields of interest. For example, the Order of the Arcane Eye was an order of wizards that was particularly loyal to the empire.

Most knightly orders were dissolved by the time that the empire itself dissolved (especially many did not survive the Age of Morakh), though some still remain.

Remaining knightly orders include:

• The Order of the Steel Hand

Knightly orders that have dissolved, either through disbanding or through destruction, include:

• The Order of the Golden Rose
• The Order of the Dragon's Blood
• The Order of the Black Star
• The Order of the Arcane Eye
