Astral Plane

The Astral Plane is mostly unknown by beings within Selaris, and this article is considered deep lore.

The Astral Plane is a plane that exists on the border between the Elemental Planes and the Outer Planes, such as the New High Plane, Haven, and Enigma. It is a vast space of unorganized Soul Matter, and it feeds the rest of the planes with the energy that they need to sustain themselves.

In 6 M.D., the mercenary group Duke's Dogs and Nathrezor performed a ritual to re-establish Necromancy. A side-effect of this ritual was that a great barrier was formed between the Astral Plane and the inner planes, which prevents new Soul Matter from reaching it. While this is now circumvented with the Ritual of Soul's Passing, this was a serious threat to the health of the planes for a time.
